Yes, this is a done deal...and is EXACTLY one more step in their attempt to redefine the industry how they want it...without real estate agents. This is what Career Compass has been warning agents about for over 2 years and now it appears that Zillow CEO Richard Barton has put Zillow on the takeover fast track in 2021
There is a great article on Housing Wire that had some KEY points (full article link at bottom)
“ShowingTime will remain an open platform available to all industry participants.”
However, the statement goes on to say how ShowingTime can increase transactions and volume for Premier Agent, a program where agents who pay Zillow to be part of a website that connects them to buyers.
Once again, PAY Zillow and you might have an advantage..but for how long as they are actively hiring their own agents.
ShowingTime President Mike Lane stated he awaits working with Zillow on “enabling a truly seamless real estate transaction that is efficient and simple.”
WOW...sound familiar? Isn't this EXACTLY what Beef predicted and has been pointing out during our Zillow presentations?
Now it is up to Brokers, Managers, and Agents...do you continue to use Showing Time even though they have gotten into bed with Zillow? Do you GIVE Zillow the power or do you take your power back?
